بيعت لوحة للرسام البريطاني ديفيد هوكني بعنوان “إيرلي مورنيننغ، سانت ماكسيم” ضمن مزاد في لندن، الخميس، لقاء أكثر من 24 مليون جنيه إسترليني (27.8 مليون دولار) أي ضعف السعر الذي كان مخمّنا.

وتمثل لوحة “إيرلي مورنيننغ، سانت ماكسيم”، شروق الشمس على ساحل الكوت دازور الفرنسي.
ورسم هوكني هذه اللوحة في بداية مسيرته الفنية، بين أعماله الشهيرة التي تمثّل أحواض سباحة في كاليفورنيا، وأعماله التالية التي تنتمي إلى الفن التصويري، لكنها تؤشر إلى الميل المتزايد لديه إلى الضوء، إذ تبدو فيها “المياه الصافية تتلألأ تحت خيوط الفجر”، وفقا لتوصيف دار “كريستيز” التي نظمت المزاد.

وأوضحت الدار أن هوكني البالغ اليوم 85 عاما، كان عندما رسم هذه اللوحة يعيش أجمل لحظات علاقته مع بيتر شليسنغر، وكان تاليا في مرحلة تتسم “بالسعادة الشخصية والنجاح المهني”.
وعُرضت اللوحة عام 1970 في لندن ضمن المعرض الأول لأعمال هوكني، ثم غابت عن أنظار الجمهور أكثر من ثلاثة عقود، وهي واحدة من أربع لوحات استوحيت من صور التقطها هوكني خلال رحلته عبر أوروبا عام 1968 مع شليسنغر.
وكانت لوحة “بول ويذ تو فيغرز” لهوكني قد بيعت بأكثر من 90 مليون دولار عام 2018، وباتت أغلى لوحة لفنان على قيد الحياة.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
